Agreed... 1 year or 30 years, homegrown or not, doesn't matter. Go play a great game, be great, and most of all have fun, most never get this chance.

Take notes all you admins. You hire coaches with kids and you're cheating and some rando on the internet that nobody knows or cares about will talk bad about you and root for the other team.

To all you coaches. When you have kids you need to go into another line of work until your kids graduate or at least go get a job at a school with a terrible athletic program.

You can run your mouth all you want but you know as well as everyone else that hiring coaches with kids is a lot of the time recruiting. Anyone that’s been around sports with a brain knows this happens a lot…

If I remember right Coach Reed, after playing at Gordon was an assistant to Coach Parham, also of Gordon in about 2002 at Strawn. I think my daughter disliked him for insisting she do her math homework. He went on to Rule and Throckmorton, winning state at both, but he's homegrown if memory serves.

He didn't win state at Rule. Finals a couple times I think.

You are correct, they played Richland Springs in 2006 and 2007 who happened to have a player named Tyler Ethridge.

It’s one thing to hire a coach that has athletic kids who are in high school, it’s another to keep doing it every 4 years and for multiple sports

Tepper also picked Gordon to win in another video post earlier in the week. So he is clearly playing both sides. Last year he said Gordon would choke in the magnitude of the game vs Westbrook last year.

Tepper has obviously not seen the Gordon defense at work. I suspect Kauffman will get some licks in, but I can't see running all over them.if

Saw something from Big Country Blitz that said if Gordon allows 28 or fewer points they’ll set a record for average fewest points allowed in a season. Just when I thought the 9 they averaged last year couldn’t be any better

I don't know if Gordons team is the most talented, I've ever seen, but definitely the most in sync team I've ever watched. From what I've seen from them they don't make any mistakes, and they run their offense like a college team! I don't see anyone challenging them anytime soon. I really wish they would have played Benjamin when they had GR
