Whiteface vs Borden County. Pt2!!!

Okay, this one is going to be a dog fight. They met for the district title last time and in the first half of Borden County, the coyotes showed they could play with whiteface! But the second half of Whiteface showed they could shut Borden County down. Now they get to meet again…
This could be an upset or whiteface wins by a lot.

Whiteface won the first match by 50 just a few weeks ago. It seems those BC boys been putting gun powder on their oatmeal these last couple of weeks. I'm going to say Whiteface takes the win by 8 or less.

Admittedly I don’t know much about Whiteface. Looking at their schedule they played a good predistrict schedule and did well. They beat BC handily by the score. So since I’m not up to speed on either team I need some input. In the BC game were both teams healthy? Did weather play a part? Does WF have playoff experience with these kids and their coach? Like I said I’m just not familiar enough with WF. I will say it’s hard to beat a team twice in same year not impossible just difficult. Lots of variables goes into playoff games. I’m not picking a winner without more info but I will say BC has a couple coaches with lots and lots and lots of playoff experience and several kids with experience as well. That’s a problem for opponents. Don’t look at the first game and assume it’s a wash and repeat game next week. Yes It’s possible but it’s also possible BC is peaking at right time. Just sayin.

Clint Linman is the head coach and he took a McLean team to back to back trips to the state title game winning one. The running back for Whiteface is a two time all state running back. These boys are three time district champs and have had back to back undefeated regular seasons. Both teams were healthy and weather played no factor in the Whiteface win on BC's field.

Clint Linman is the head coach and he took a McLean team to back to back trips to the state title game winning one. The running back for Whiteface is a two time all state running back. Linman is the mike leach of 6man an amazing coach and game planner.

Coach Linman will have WF prepared, He was my coach for 4 years back in Anton. He focuses on doing the little things right and a huge student of the game. Clint has coached against Borden county plenty of times. He transforms programs and develops them into State Contenders. I went to watch WF play against Booker last week! They looked great, a well-rounded team. The only concern is their field goal special teams. They missed almost all their field goals. Borden County will show up on game day.. The only way WF will lose is if they beat themselves.

Coach Bigham does do things right, as well as Coach Linman. As I said before, in my opinion, I think Whiteface takes care of business against BC. I have to say, BC has been the sleeper team in D1. Much props to Coach Steele and having his team playing there best ball when it matters the most. It could be a dog fight. We will see. I am still going with Whiteface in this one. Good luck to both teams and prayers for no injuries and for safe travels.
