team with the toughest schedule try crowell record 7-4

team current rankings week 13
bc 4
valley 1
petersburg 8
t-rock 2
ira 5

I agree!!!!!!!! And thanks!!!

Toughest of those teams would be,,,,,,,,,,,Throckmorton first and Valley second. Valley put up more points but Throckmorton had the better all around game. If I had to pick who I would like a rematch with it would be Valley!! Take the six turnovers away and I feel it would of been a lot closer. But its all history now!! I hope one of the two win the title as it will add another plus to our season. Best of luck to both teams!!!

Rotan, Crowell, and Aquilla...man those are tough schedules! I don't think we know how good Rotan was this year because the teams they played were so good.

Rotan: Throckmorton twice! Rankin, Ira, ACHS, Robert Lee, and Loraine...dang!

Aquilla: Dallas Cov., Abbott, Milford, Jonesboro

Throckmorton: Water Valley, Rankin, Crowell, Dallas Cov., Follett, Motley Co. and WINDTHORST...that may be the hardest set of games in six-man!

Rotan had a very good and young team this year. I saw them play twice, against Rankin and Ira. The Rotan and Rankin game was really a very good game until the fourth quarter. Watch out for Rotan next year for sure.

Lester

I can't post on sixmanfootball but Garden City played # 3 Rankin, #4 Borden Co., #5 Ira, # 6 Water Valley, # 11 Grady, # 14 Ropes, & # 20 Sterling City in D 1. Also #7 Robert Lee in D 2. I thinks a pretty tough schedule and injuries equals a 3-8 record.

By all the answers, it looks like Abbott might be able to take it all. Abbott is the only team to have won over Dallas Covenant (who was on so many of your lists), and was on more lists, so far than any other team.

I would submit that Abbott outplayed DC in the first half. Something was said in that Knight locker room because, since half-time at Hico, DC has been the best team in the state.

Might I point out that IF Abbott does "take it all" they will be the only team with two losses by Div 2 teams.

milford by far, them boys came out and hit and they knew how to straight up play football, jonesboro on the other hand was a good team but not as tough as milford, we had a bad night against them and were not playing to our potential. IMO oakwood should have beat jonesboro easily but it didnt happen, and if they would have eliminated the mistakes they made they would have beat milford too

You are talking like DII is a lesser division. While this ridiculous divisional split in sixman probably does put a few more of the non competitive teams in DII, it is still a joke. All the split has done is allow more teams in the playoffs.. when right at half of them (in both divisions) don't belong there. Just look at the scores in the Bi-District games in both divisions. In six-man, all it takes is a couple of talented players and a good coach to be sucessful... You can have 40 kids on a team and not have the talent to stay on the field with a team fielding 12... happens all the time. But back to your put down of DII.... If say... Ira had played those two DII schools that Abbott lost to they very well could have finished the year with 3 losses.

Ryry, you say that like Div 2 is a lesser game than Div 1. Enrollment/Population has nothing to do with performance in 6 Man..

That sounds good in all but your putting words in my mouth. All I was doing is stating FACTS. And actually I was complimenting the two Div2 teams. I grew up watching and playing Sixman Football with no spilt Div's, so I'm really an old school Sixman Football fan, but that's a whole other thread.

Sorry,, some of us are touchy about the Divisional split.... Im just looking to lay out the details as to why I think its dumb. haha sorry

I agree but I foresee no change in the future. And I'm touchy when things are said about Ira. They are a team that is good year in and year out. All teams have experienced a "bad night" of play, and for Ira it came in the second round of the playoffs against Rankin. I'm sure Rankin would say the same thing when they played BC. No more excuses for Ira, they got beat by the better team that night. We all love Sixman Ball no matter what Div we are in. There is no other sport that I have seen with so much heart poured into the game, from players, coaches and the entire town. I will now refrain from my soap box lol. Good Luck to all remaining teams battling it out in both Div's.

Ira has a very good team I don’t know any who would have wanted them, or teams like them, on their schedule on any given week. I thought that they should have been in the top two all year. It was easy to see as the season progressed that there were going to be a lot of teams that could beat another on any given night Sterling City was one that was out in the first round but the injury bug hit them and hit them hard, or things could have been a lot different but no excuses..... I just want the kids that are not getting to play right now to know that I (but better WE) saw the effort week in and out, saw your dedication, those that are still playing are carrying a little of each of you,,, for what makes a team is also the opponents they have faced.

I just wanted each player to know that I see the smears of paint on the helmets, the tears in the jerseys, and the blood and sweat and realize these are the proof efforts each opponent, team, and staff has put into this game.

Thank you all because this is what makes 6 man football!!!!
