Week 5 game around Abilene?

Hopefully this post isn't getting old but I've learned to really trust y'all's advice!

I'm looking for my game of the week within about 75 miles from Abilene and was going to pick Borden County vs Knox City but now some of the stuff I'm reading is looking like it may be more one-sided than what it looks on paper? Not trying to duplicate the Knox City-Borden Co thread, just opening the discussion if there is a more competitive game in the Big Country (Abilene area) or if this one is really worth the drive. I just hate the idea of driving for longer than what I'm sitting watching football haha

BC vs KC game will be worth the drive. i really dont think BC will 45 KC. we will find out if the rankings are worth the hype that gets alot of people worked up!!!!!

Havn't seen either Borden County or Knox City this year, so I should probably keep my opinions to myself. In my mind I have Borden at the same level of play as Happy, maybe even a little better. Knox City took WV by about 26 and Happy took WV behind the woodshed. Even with Knox City having homefield advantage(I consider that worth about 2 TDs) Borden should win by at least 20 to 30 points. You could probably find a closer scoring game, (Gordon and Walnut Springs come to mind) but how often do you get a chance to watch two top ten teams go at it. I would suggest you head for Knox City.

The KC vs Borden Co game should be a real good game as they only have Borden Co by 2. Knox city playing the best defense I have seen Knox City play since there team of Quater-finalists. KC is better then people are giving them credit for. They have the fastest team I have seen in years since KC started 6-man. I know rankings don't mean much its any teams night on Friday night. I think your drive would be well worth the time and drive.

Walnut Springs (3-0) At Gordon (4-0) should be a good one.

This is the one I was thinking about going to but was told different. We have a nephew who's a SR linebacker at Breckenridge. They play at Hico which is only 25 miles away. So...

It sounds like both games could be really good.
Here are some different sources & how they line up these games:

Granger "The Guru" has Knox City #2 & Borden Co #3 (in D1) with a spread of 2. He has them ranked #3 & #5 overall. Granger has Walnut Springs ranked #36 & Gordon Ranked #18 with a spread of 15

Sixmania has BC ranked #1 & KC ranked #4 with a spread of 17
While they have Walnut Springs ranked #18 & Gordon ranked #35 with a spread of 34

Lonestar has BC ranked #1 & KC ranked #4
While they have Walnut Springs ranked #7 in D2 & Gordon ranked #13 in D1

Max Preps has BC #1 in the State & the Nation and KC ranked #7 in TX & #8 in the Nation.
They have Walnut Springs as #33 in TX & 75th in the Nation vs. Gordon who is ranked 36th in TX and 83 in the nation.

I am thinking the Knox City vs Borden Co game will be the best to watch and that it will be a close first half and whoever comes out with the momentum in the 2nd half to win by a touchdown.
The good news is that both games will be broadcast live so that you can watch one & listen to the other. You may want to get some plug in ear buds or a Blue Tooth system so you don't have to hold your phone & so that you can hear it better.
