Leman, from similar threads in years gone by I have come to believe most Coaches don't want to advertise a potential "star" at this point in the season. I think they would rather fly "under the radar" so to speak if possible, at least until district, to draw less attention to a given player. The player gains confidence with success. The district teams can be surprised and overwhelmed y the unknown stud.
But of course I might be full of crap as a stuffed turkey.

Max Woytek of Holy Trinity 16 carries 174 yards and 5 TDs.

That gives him 42 carries for 465 yards and 10 TDs in 2 games...
