Please join me in congratulating the week 2 Player of the Week, Brandon Vasquez - Loop Longhorns.
Brandon was basically a human highlight reel in last week's game against Midland Holy Cross. Brandon was able to pick up 427 rushing yards on 24 attempts. That means he averaged a first down every time he ran the ball! Along with all those yards, he was able to find the endzone for a total of 9 rushing touchdowns! Brandon was also 2/4 passing for 65 yards and a lone reception that he took 71 yards directly into the endzone. On defense Brandon accumulated 8 tackles and one interception. To top that off Brandon also returned the game's final kickoff for a touchdown to put his team up by 43 then kicked the PAT to put the game away by way of mercy rule.
