Huge shoutout to Coach Groves for collecting numbers and getting a quality spreadsheet put together that does all the hard work for you.

Brain got tired doing D2 jigsaw, I’ll finish it tomorrow and upload as well

Somehing you may also need to take into consideration is that Runge opted up to Div 1 the last realignment and could do that again. Also, Rocksprings might also opt up to Div 1 since the other Div 2 schools are a lot farther away than Div 1 schools.

Any thoughts on some of the lower enrollment schools? Is Darrouzett going to field a team after 2 years of inactivity? Pawnee? Could have just been a unique circumstance, but in their recent games with Calvert it appeared that both their JH and HS teams were fielding only six boys. Any others who are potential drops for next year?

I dont think Darrouzett will field a team but idk. Seems like they have gone the basketball route. And unless they re-consolidate with Follett (very unlikely) then again I just dont seem them playing football. I could be wrong though

Highland dropping to D2 so that’s not going to work. I see Westbrook, Garden City, Sterling City, Robert Lee and Water Valley, Also are you saying Jayton and Klondike will be D1??
It's going to depend on what the UIL decides about the cutoff, but Klondike will definitely be D1. They turned in 67. I think Mike's estimates are pretty close, with a cutoff of 57.5. If that's what the UIL sets it at, then yes, Jayton will also move up to D1, as well as Sands and Highland will stay D1.

With Bronte moving up to D1 and Sterling City going back to 6 man, I'm seeing what the UIL did in 2020-22. Sterling City, Westbrook, Highland, Robert Lee, and Bronte in the same distict. A lot also depends on whether Iraan decides to go 6 man. They had discussions about it before, but their Jr High had too many and they would have only spent 2 years in 6 man and then be forced to go back to 11 man.

I saw where they said 61.5 was the number unless I read that wrong
