I recall this program was ELITE. What has happened the past few years. Lack of talent, coaching, kids moving out, ...

Well WV can get back on top QUICKLY if they could get N Hayes from Crowell

There was talent at the WV last year but not all of the kids went out for football. For whatever reason, and I'm not judging here because every kid has their reasons, the kid that finished 6th at state in the 100m chose not to play. Another kid, very good basketball player and a big target on the football field, did the same. Another kid, very good football player, tore up his knee and couldn't play. Jeremy Jackson was left to shoulder the load and, although he's a good ball player, one man show's don't often produce the desired results. I read here that the Head Football position is open. I don't know what happened with Coach York but he's a very good coach and I'm sure he'll end up somewhere and produce success on the field as he always has.

That sounds a lot like GC in the mid to late 1970's. We had a lot of talent sitting in the bleachers on Friday nights......
