Water Cannons

We are looking into getting a water cannon to water our fields….I was wondering who has these all ready and who would you recommend me talking to.

Cherokee has one. They got it from a place in De Leon. Works okay, kind of delicate on the hose take up, but probably cause I have no clue. Holler

We have one and its a maintenance nightmare. Plus I feel it reels to fast to give the field the soaking that it needs on one pass. Most of the time the hose is spooled off and the sprinkler is just moved to the next spot needing water.

Our old lay pipe with 6 or so sprinklers was more of a pain but I know did a better job of keeping the field moist.

I would say buy some cheap poly pipe and two big sprinklers and go at it.

Can a Bermuda grass field in Texas be over watered??

Covington ISD purchased a new WaterReel from Smith Irrigation Equipment for a little under $4000.
From looking on their website, They have SEVERAL sizes to choose from.
The one CISD purchased works great for us, Just started using it this month.

Durn sure do not let anyone jack with reel timing on the ones from De Leon. Fixing to have to retime ours.
