Waco Live Oak vs Azle Christian

both teams are great teams. I think live oak is a more punch you in the mouth were Azle is a more finesse team. If I had to pick it would be Live Oak. To much team speed.
 
Thanks for the insight cowboy! I feel like I should pick a team now ........but, I will wait and see the scores from tonight before I make my selection. Anyone else going to take a guess now that we know what cowboy (who has seen both teams) thinks? Come on now dont be shy.
 
I agree with Cowboy. I've seen both teams play, both have great athletes and both are well coached. But Live Oak is a punch you in the mouth and grind it out, while Azle is fast and finesse, and physical also. Should be an awesome game, but my pick would also have to be Waco Live Oak.
 
I've only seen live oak play. But I can tell ya'll they will hit you hard and they're very fast. They have a good D too. Azle sounds like a good team too. I'm looking forward to a great game. I think live oak will win though. Too much speed and depth.
 
Let see both teams are fast. OK!! both teams have good "D" and good "O" so the game is played in Azle. Waco you need to be two touchdowns better than them, and you probly need to bring a bowl and fork for some home cooking. Any time you play on the road you better be the best team, because you will have to over come home field and travel to win. I have been around this game along time and I dont see either of these teams matching up with some of the great Jesus Chapel teams or Greenville or Austin regents or Midland teams. I'm sure both teams are good teams and are having great years, but lets play it on the field and find out who the best team is. that game will be play in late November. Good luck to waco and Azle stay health and play in such a way the Lord would say well done.
 
Well said pacman Waco live oak 45ed Parker tarrant last night against a good running back. I said I would make my pick after last nights game. I think Waco live oak wins this game! They just shut out a team that was rated over 120 (by the great granger machine) and the spread was only 23 points. It was also a road game. Ultimately though pacman is right it will be decided on the field. Should be a good one though can't wait for the result on this one!
 
Well folks here it comes. This Fridays game between live oak and Azle is a very interesting match up. To begin with it is 2 undefeated teams. It also has some implications as far as TCAF vs TCAL both teams are ranked high in their divisions. Both teams are well coached and have high expectations. This will also give us more insight into the rating system used by granger. Neither of these teams needed this game to get in playoffs , but I have a feeling both teams will come out ready to play. Good luck to both teams and if your near Azle Friday night and want to see the best sixman game in the state this Friday be there!
 
I cant wait to see Azle play this game. Everyone so far on this post has counted them out. I love it ! I know alot of azle players read this post, and are smart enough to keep their opinions to themselves. I love this team. I hope they are working hard this week to fix their mistakes, and shake off the sandman sleepy stuff in their eyes from the last few ( yyaawwnn ) games, and focus on being as sharp as they can be. Go get em Crusaders !
 
Hmm well I don't think anyone has written them off. They are after all a 40 point favorite. So that makes LO the underdog big time. Looking forward to the game One you bring the popcorn.
 
Well lets see!!! What a game this will be. Both teams are undefeated and are looking for a perfect season. Azle is very fast and of course has massive depth. I personally havent seen Waco Live Oak play, but from what I read they are just a quick but might not have the overall depth that Azle has. Both teams are very well coached!! If you are planning on coming to see this game, better get there early. I would think there will be standing room only!! I do think both teams will play there hearts out, but in the end Azle stays perfect!!!
 
I Would be happy to buy you some popcorn wisdom. I am sure the great folks at acs will be popping plenty. I didnt know Azle was favorite. I have only read these post threads. From what I see on here, WLO is clearly the favorite to win. I hope both teams are better for this game.
 
Well it's here!!!!!! Everyone be prepared for a battle tonight! This should be a really great game. I can hear the Monday night football theme song playing already. Looking forward to tonight with much anticipation. The weather will be perfect and this should be an awesome game. This will be my last pregame post so here goes. Live oak wins by 2 scores. Well folks I did not oversell this one. If you weren't in azle tonight you weren't anywhere important!!! 67-61 Waco live oak as the time expired on a 60 yard touchdown pass to win!!!!!! Amazing game incredible effort. Unbelievable!!!
Way to go both teams. Hats off to live oak. I tried to tell everyone it was the "superbowl"!!!!!!
 
I'm getting old, I know, but I got to coach Live Oak's coach back when he was a great HS player and I'm am really proud of how that program has grown under his direction.

Congrats to both teams on what seems to be a great game!
 
Classic!!!! I know that there are a lot of very sore young men this morning from Azle to Waco. I wouldn't want to be on the tracks as either one if these teams roll into the playoffs. Both teams needed a game like this to get them ready and they didn't disappoint. Thanks to both sides for the most entertaining game I've seen in years. Waco Live Oak and their fans are a classy bunch.
 
This sounds like it was an exciting game that players dream of. Congrats to both teams and especially Live Oak. This is not a "slam" on this game by any means. I know this has been called the TCAL/TCAF superbowl. I do think other teams in TCAF would argue that. Lucas and the teams out West for TCAF not to speak of others. I haven't followed TCAL this year so I don't know if any other teams would want to play in a game called the superbowl TCAL/TCAF. The good news is that every team starts out Zero going into the playoff's.

I agree with you Tim. Not sure what Live Oaks enrollment is, but we only have 34 in High School. I know a Lucas has much more than that a to call it a "Super bowl" would be wrong. I wish you guys the best next week. It looks like you guys are rolling.
 
Pastor Miles with only 34 and the way Azle plays, is a wonderful story. The way the community has supported Azle is tremendous. I was told yesterday we have about that same number as well. Hopefully this excitement from football can generate more students. I am "SOLD" that the private school is the way to go for kids. I can tell you coming from a 5A program it is Night & Day.

Easy guys on the "superbowl" thing I was just kidding. I did thoroughly enjoy the game and that Azle team will be tough to stop. That was the most entertaining game I have seen in a long time. I could not believe the way it ended!!!!! Wow drama galor 2 interceptions in the last minute and a half and a 60 yard toss and run as time ran out for the win. If it gets any better I don't know how.
