Touchback Automatic?

Just wondering if a kickoff into the endzone is an automatic touchback.

Gotta be more specific. If caught by returner, he can return. If it hits the grass it is supposed to be a touchback.

An untouched kick by the receiving team that breaks the plane of the goal line is a touchback.. Whether it rolls in or first touches the ground in the EZ.

That is not true. It is only an automatic touchback if it hits the ground in the end zone. If an untouched kick breaks the plane of the goal line and is then caught or recovered before touching the ground in the end zone, the play continues.
