A couple of the most ridiculous things I've seen posted in quite a while. Certainly when it comes to Tyler Ethridge anyway. He is far and away the most celebrated 6-man football player I've ever read or heard about. There have been threads right here on this board totally devoted to him and his exploits. To say that he never got the credit he deserved from the 6-man community is absurd. He may have been the greatest 6-man football player of all time, I wasn't around for Miles, Richey, Soliz, Pardee and some of the other greats, but to say he never got the credit he deserved? Come on, man!! His praises are sung by everyone, not just the RS crowd. Try Googling the guy, you get page after page on him. "Never got the credit they deserved from the sixman community"... yeah, right. One other thing, this thread had to do with the Top 3 programs in the last 14 years before it got hijacked, and Schwarzenegger said Hogue didn't get enough credit. So, to make sure everyone understands this, I'm not saying Ethridge wasn't great. I'm not saying he wasn't the best ever (he might have been). I'm not saying he's a bad guy. I'm saying don't think anyone should cry any tears about how he never got the credit he deserved and I darn sure don't want to hear any crap out of you, Goob.
 
(Finger waving back and forth) take a deep breath WV this is exactly what I'm talking about. Yes Tyler got credit from RS and others but there are some people who always came back with someone better than Tyler. Their probably were better but the post was directed at Tyler. Sorry I ruffled feathers and by the way, Goob is a great guy. No different from the rest of us humans but a great guy none the less.
 
I think that Water Valley dynasty never got the credit it deserved. All them state titles.......uh, I mean championship appearances.......whoops. I mean semifinal appearances. Dang, I guess I mean making it to the second round of the playoffs.
 
I think the ranking is all wrong except for Div2. Water Valley should be ranked ONE!!!!!! The ranking is all wrong for Div 1. I mean I think it is, or it was before I started cheering for them, or will be during the season, I mean into the play-offs, NO I mean until the State Game. I hope you feel better WV and ofb.
 
To me a "Program" has had the same coach throughout...that would take Throckmorton out in my mind...but these others (in no order) come to my mind first...

RS, Strawn, Valley, Ira, Milford, Borden County, and Abbott


If you take out the qualifier of having basically one coach throughout...Throckmorton, Calvert, Garden City, Water Valley enter the picture...

Highland if you look not that far back (Owens era) can be no doubt in the conversation...also Calvert in the Grimes era

Guthrie, Jayton and Motley County are also schools to consider as current great programs

Current top 3...RS, Valley, BC would be my 3.

That is some brilliant insight. Truly you are possessed of a dizzying intellect. To take a post about TE and twist it into something about the WV takes a skill unmatched by most. I salute you sir. Nevermind that it has nothing to do with the subject at hand, you just keep on bangin' away on the dynasty drum.

OFB all is fine. I can take it. I have fun with you good ole boys. I have enjoyed all of your post for a lot of years now and nothings changing that. Now back on the subject " Top 3 Programs.
 
All I had said was that I don't think anybody could of beat RS and Throck those two years. I believe Tyler Ethridge was the best or one of the best of all time. I was just trying to say Bryce Hogue didn't get enough credit for what he did. Because anytime this discussion pops up about best players I never see his name mentioned. But I still say the top 3 programs are RS,Throck,Calvert.
