Thanks,
I’ll notify all the coaches to check everything out. This year promises to be an exceptional, exciting display of Texas Six Man Football !

State Champs get a Traditional Gold Football with laser engraving commemorating the event, team members, coaches on a Walnut Base. They will also receive a plexiglass case to preserve the game football with team signatures. Runner up gets a Silver Trophy with same commemoration engravings and plexiglass case.
All players receive a Medallion with the Seal of the Bowl Series. This Unique Medallion is the same size and weight as a UIL STATE MEDALLION but with the unique Seal of the Bowl Series. Offensive and Defensive player of the game will receive individual trophies that are unique to the Bowl Series.
We believe that these awards will be a lasting and hopefully treasured mementos that will last a lifetime.

that sounds like some really nice stuff and sounds like a good day of six man football but it’s not an actual state championship? I plan to come but just didn’t know if this actual a State championship like at Jerry’s World.

It’s the same kind of State Championship that you would find at any other organization such as TAPPS, TCAL, TAIAO etc. It’s based on the old BCS FORMAT.
If you were ranked high enough you got to play for a National Championship. It counts, not every one gets an invitation. If you are not a top ranked Independent according to sixman.com, you don’t get an invitation. No Politics,
NO Bullstuff, just your record as compared to others.
Thanks again for the questions.

Oh...... so it is a power ranking. I was just confused on not having a playoff system like UIL. So this is not recognized by the UIL? Sorry for all the questions I just didn't know this was a thing until the post.

It’s not recognized by UIL but we play by UIL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
It is a power based system, but instead of relying on sportswriters etc. our
Invitations are issued based on Sixman.com rankings.
Back to the UIL, public schools that vote to go to 6 man football from 11 usually don’t go directly to a UIL District. They have the option to play as an Independent and then they are including in our rankings if they
choose. Many schools are moving to 6 man and as a result we have had over 30% increase in the number of
UIL Schools. Most Independents are small schools, groups or organizations. We rarely have. More than 15-18
Schools. This year we had over 30, 11 of which are UIL.
The purpose of our Bowl Games is to give a post season opportunity to kids, especially the Seniors, that hadn’t existed before. This is our Third Bowl Series and our existing agreement calls for 5 years with an option for 5 more.
We look forward to many future Bowl Series in the future.
Thanks, hope to see you at the games this Saturday in Gholson!

This is a great day of Six Man football. Great to see kids that wouldn't otherwise have any post-season opportunity be able to play for something after the regular season.

I attended last year and there were some really good games and one of the most incredible plays I've ever seen. Anyone else remember the behind the back pass?

That sounds great for seniors! I never thought about them not getting to play postseason. So the UIL teams that are ahead of them in the power rankings that will not make the playoffs do they not get a chance to play in this series?

The bowl series is for teams that missed the cutoff for realignment, but dropped to 1a/6man after. Since they would have either 1 or 2 years at that level, there is not a UIL option. The UIL teams have an option - win or be 2nd in your district and you get to go to the playoffs. This isn't a "everybody gets a trophy" thing. There have been times when there are 3 very good teams in a district and one gets left out of the playoffs. It's just the way sports goes, some win and some don't.

If you go to the “Rankings” site on Sixman.com you see UIL DIV 1, DIV 2, TAPPS, TCAL, TACF, and TAIAO. They all have Divisions and State Champions, so do we. In our case however you see kids that had nothing to do with a decision made by adults, seeing their Senior year of football slip away. We provide those kids and ALL kids in the Independent Classification something to play for from day one. In UIL you only need to place in District play to advance. In our BOWL SERIES every play of every games decides who gets to play for the Championship.
There is no room for “off weeks”. You either play like a Champion every play of every game to improve your rankings with sixman, or you don’t get an invitation. You have to be on your game every week. No room for error. Overall much more strenuous than any of the others including the ALPHABET!
