Texas-Oklahoma

I know this is still a few weeks away, but what are yalls thoughts on this game. I cannot wait until Oct 6, I think this is the most even-sided game these 2 teams will have played in a while. There has not been a close game in a long time and I think this one has the chance to be a classic. Hopefully no one gets upset before. I gotta go with my Horns on this on. Everyone is hyping up OU right now, but I think Texas will win it.

OU is a much better team than UT. I cannot think of one position in which UT is better than the Sooners. Can anyone?

OU wins handily.

Um QB, running back, receivers, TE, just to name a few. I think these OU fans are getting a bit to caught up with wins over powerhouse North Texas and probably the worst Miami team in 10 years. OU had their run in this series, and Texas is in the middle of theirs.

Tough to pick a winner this early. Neither team has a test until that week. There's 3 games between now and then. Let's see how those pan out.

Right now, based on the body of work, I gotta go with Oklahoma. But, the two oponents were very weak.

QB - Are you kidding me? Have you seen both teams play this year? Sam Bradford has 8 incompletions this season. He's also thrown for 8 TDs and O INTs. Colt McCoy has 5 less TDs, 4 more INTs, and averages 5 yards less per completion. Sorry, you lose the QB argument.

RB - Charles is a great back, but give me Demarco Murray or Allen Patrick behind the best offensive line in the country. Texas' o-line is average.

WR - Malcolm Kelly is the best WR in the BIG XII. He also plays in a better offense with a better QB.

TE - I'll give you TE. Jermichael Finley is better than Joe Jon Finley.

Okay, so, you're not even going to try to argue about offensive line and defense. I don't blame you. Maybe now you see why OU wins this game. Even if the skill positions were equal (they're not), the Sooners win because of a dominant defense and o-line.

DISCLAIMER: I'm am not a Sooner or Longhorn fan. I just think you should take off the burnt orange colored glasses and look at things objectively for a second.

Bradford's been great. I don't see him playing flawlessly for 13 weeks, though. If so, Oklahoma may go undefeated. Maybe the TX game is when he hits the wall. It's bound to happen sometime.

I'm not a TX or OU fan either, but a Mean Green faithful. Just enjoy solid college football competition. Hope it's a good game.

Ofcourse he won't be perfect for the entire season, but who would've ever thought he would be as good as he's been so far. I'm impressed.

Bradford has been great so far just look at what he did against South Lake Carroll...I mean North Texas. OU has not played anyone yet, I can't wait to see what he does against someone good. People forget, if McCoy stays healthy last year, they are playing Ohio State for the title. Granted he has not looked great so far, but in the second half of the TCU game when he needed to, he played big. I guess were not gonna agree on this one. But c'mon if Jammal Charles is healthy he is the best back in the Big 12, and I'll take Limas Sweed as the best WR in the country, let alone Big 12. Anyways I can't wait and I guess we'll see Oct 6.

It's early right now, just after 2 games to judge. The defense didn't allow a single touchdown against TCU. Granted TCU's offense was a joke. And thats what I mean. Neither team has faced close to anyone like the team they will see on the 6th. I just think Texas has more weapon's offensively and Bradford will come down to Earth by then.

8) my sooners will be ready for texas, they haven,t forgotten last years, score. texas has struggle in all 3-games. they have very little offense, and colt, and macky knows it. there defense is questionable, and a medicore secondary. i have my tickets for this game. look for oklahoma put it on texas for 4-quarters. we might even get some of there texas players next year too play at ou, if we win big haha. anyway oklahoma is stout on offense, and defense, they are alot of studs on this team, and they will never give up. look for ou, too win big. see ya ou-johnny.

I gotta say, that after the first 3 weeks, OU looks like the clear favorite. Let's see if Tulsa gives them a challenge.

Meanwhile, hopefully the guys from Austin have enough to play. If they keep getting kids arrested, they may be in a world of hurt. I think they've had something like 6 arrests of players since June.

Im a huge UT fan, but it does appear that OU has the better team. Though texas may need better competition to step their level up. Every year around time for this game I get upset because it turns into a texas vs oklahoma battle, when in reality it is texas vs texas, how many of oklahoma's skill players are actually from there? which is why it is such a huge rivalry in the first place

Bob Stoops and Oklahoma do a heck of a job recruiting TX.

8) 19bootleg, you said it best bob stoops gets the best players in the nation, too play atoklahma, and some of them are not even on the top-150, watch list. they are alot of studs on this team. they are a different team in 2007, and they play on the field shows it, all the big-12 schools are watching oklahoma, and on the scoreboard at there game sites haha. all us okies know that. boomer sooner, they will be a contender for the big-12 title again, and take it back too norman. we shall see what the aggies too offer tonight,s matchup with miami at there turf. oklahoma is the real deal. booomer sooner, ou-johnny.

Mack Brown has something to say about recruiting the best players in the nation. Not a knock on Stoops. But, Brown can bring em in with the best of em. Take a look at that resume.
