TCAL Title

I know FEAST is the number one favorite but is there anyone else that looks like they might have a good chance of winning state in TCAL? The two charter schools have good records but I have not had a chance to see either one of the two play.

What is the TCAL Playoff format as far as brackets, and what teams will be making the Playoffs this year?

I think everyone makes it but I am not sure what the format is.

FEAST and West Columbia are the D1 favorites. D2 will be much tougher. With the Bastrop team finally healthy, River City better than they have been in years, a good San Marcos and very good Annapolis team, who knows what will happen. The games will not be set until Monday when the rankings come out. There will be quarter final games in D1 and semi finals in D2. Two quarter finalist in D2 will not field a team in the playoffs. I will post the game info asap.

TLCA has to be talked about when you talk about D1 favorite. They have beenunderdogs tghe last two weeks but they keep winning. I would have to pick them to win D1.

Good chance they (TLCA) will face WC in the semi finals. If by some chance they get by WC (BIG IF), they will deserve the chance to play FEAST in the SC. Honestly, TLCA has not beaten anyone with a rating even close to WC or FEAST. I believe it will come down to WC vs. FEAST, but wadda i know!

TLCA will more than likely play Baytown in the first round. Hopefully Baytown can talk them into neutral ground! TLCA should end up with HFA. But, there is still one week left!

I am very pleased with the competition in TCAL this year. I am looking forward to the inevitable growth as well as better competition in the years to come!

I will have to agree and say that TLCA has to be put up there with FEAST and WC. The commit about TLCA not beating anyone with FEAST or WC rating, well to be honest before last week FEAST has not beaten a team with a high rating and WC still has not. So looks like to me it could turn out to be a good fight.

as far as FEAST beating anyone with a high ranking, we beat Fredericksburg Heritage in the 1st week(ranked at 7th in TAPP's) and we just downed Kerrville OLH (a game in which we were 21 point underdogs). TLCA has as good a shot as anyone to make it to finals, but to discount FEAST because of their strength of schedule is not very wise.

I was not trying to discount FEAST at all but like I said before they have not beaten anyone but OLH this year. Beating Frederickburg in week one is not anything to brag on. I do think FEAST is the favorit right now. I just don't think they will win.

Feast has a quality ball team but I don't believe WC can play with either Feast or TLCA. It's a long drive for anyone in this playoff but it's better than staying at home watching Roundball :lol:
