FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP CHANGES DUE TO WEATHER

After review of all available information, the championship contests for this weekend will be postponed in the interest of safety for participants and fans.

The TAPPS office is presently working to develop a plan for playing the contests the following week. We are in negotiation with our host facilities, broadcast partners and sponsors to finalize our plans.

While we acknowledge the desire of all for a quick solution to our situation so that plans can be made by each school, we ask for your patience as we work through scenarios to provide the best event we can under the constraints the weather and end of semester have placed upon us.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and know that the TAPPS office will present the plans as soon as possible.

I'm hearing Dec. 14 as rescheduled date.

It will be December 14. Game times are the same. Divsion I at 12 PM and Division II at 6 PM.

It just crossed my mind of the long lay off going into these championship games. Any thoughts on how the extra days off effect the teams preparation? Your talking about not playing a game week before the championship game. To me it is interesting how the extra film study and more reps play the games out. Also, you get a chance to rest up nagging injuries. That is a golden opportunity that is not afforded this time of year. Could make things a little more interesting.

Due to the TAPPS Sixman Championships being postponed they will also share the stage with the UIL Sixman Championships on the same day. Also, the Texas Private School All-Star will be held December 14th as well.
