I think Fulton and Trinity will 45 their opponents. If they don't I would be shocked. Chester will struggle with the speed of Trinity. Fulton has too much experience for Calvary to play with them past two quarters. I've been wrong in the past but just my opinion.

Victory Life will be ready. WCS is looking pretty good and should handle the F-burg.
Freddy will have their hands full but they should prevail
NCTA- Coach will have them and they will bounce back
Lifegate- Should be a good one.

I think KPA plays Grady a little closer. KPA has the Jenkins kid who is a top 5 division 3 athlete in Tapps.

11-4 isn't real bad for early in the season; picking private school sixman football early in the season is pretty difficult -- teams lose and gain kids that aren't known about and this is a game where a single key injury makes you go from the top to the bottom real, real fast.

Come about week 6 or 7, the cream will rise to the top. But the big suprises I see in ALL classes:

1. Who would have picked Dallas Covenant to be 0-3 at this time of the year? 2-1 maybe; possibly 1-2.

2. Rockwall Heritage looks very strong in D1.

3. Didn't see Castle Hills on Friday, but the Dante show is on Act 2. Dropped a tough one in week 2, but I'm not sure who will challenge them in D2. But my guess is everybody will be calling SA Feast for that game tape.

4. Every year, Wichita Falls Notre Dame is the early season favorite to win it all. If they can keep from the dreaded Freddy in the playoffs curse, this could be it. But whoever wins the District 3 title, either Freddy or Lifegate (who meet in week 6 in Seguin, I think) has to be considered as well.

But there's a lot of football to be played until December.

I agree totally about Dallas Covenant. Total surprise that they're 0-3.
Castle Hills does look like the favorite in DII.
Overall, I think that DIII is much more competitive this year. Even with better competition this season, I believe the usual suspects will be around in the end. At this point, I think it will be LKP and Heath Fulton in the North, but you can't count Notre Dame out. In the South, I think it will be Freddy and Lifegate.

I agree with Godsmightywarrior, DIII looks good. I have my bias toward Freddy, so I'm taking them. I think they look pretty strong at this point in the season, but there's a lot of football to play. As far as SL or WFND go, I don't think you can count them out till the fat lady does her thing.... I think it's making out to be an exciting year in DIII, and I can't wait to see what District matchups hold for us. Gets me pumped for that Freddy v SL game on the horizon. And imagine another WF v Freddy grudge match in the playoffs! My adrenaline is pumping just thinking about it.

We are keeping our eye on both Freddy and Seguin down this way. Their game in Week 6 will give things a much clearer picture.

I think the Freddy vs Lifegate game will be the premiere regular season DIII game.
I'm working on week 4 Predictions right now. I'm trying to put a little more thought into the games this time. If only American Ninja Warrior would stop distracting me.

You may be right. Though I believe there is a team from Waco who moved to TAPPS this year. They won the TCAL State Championship last year.....over SA Feast. They might help make DII a little more interesting.
