What team(s) looks best to win the district in TAPPS D1?

Abilene Christian
Boerne Geneva
Baytown Christian

Hmmm. Rocket man. Who do u think? Perennials ... DC n Abilene don't seem to be as strong. Baytown doesn't seem to be the heir apparent. Abilene has had two tough games and have Strawn n Ira waiting in the wings. They will eventually meet DC. If DC gets better and they may that could really be a good game. CoachNorris, How does Boerne fit in??
Another subject. You guys think TAPPS is weaker this year when compared to UIL??

DC looks stronger then ACHS in my opinion, but I think Rockwall Heritage will be a suprising shocker this year. They have great depth at all positions and tremendous speed. They've stared out 2-0 with both wins as 45's. From what I've seen and heard, look for them to have a great year.

Boerne is the only one of the previous years' top TAPPS teams that isn't down this year. They are still at about the same level as they were last year. Unless there is another team that I haven't seen yet that has jumped up a level or two since last year, this looks to be Boerne's year. We played terribly sloppy in Boerne this week. We should have been able to make a MUCH better showing than we did. Just very sloppy. But Boerne is deserving of the #1 ranking in TAPPS for sure.

Hopefully we'll be able to get things cleaned up by district and make a respectable showing and get to the playoffs. Time will tell.

We did play sloppy the other night but what got me is I saw numerous instances where bad decisions were made with the ball. Years past that wouldn't have been tolerated. It's a whole different atmosphere this year. We have the athletes to make a run but it's going depend on them not getting depressed about the absolutely ridiculous non district schedule.
To me it looks like Midland Trinity may be the team to beat in dist. 1 right now.

Yes you could be right. They took care of business with Lorraine and played well against Rankin. Div 1 dark horse.

I thought he was asking who the district winners would be. I think Boerne is best team in TAPPS so they should come out of D2. Baytown is clearly the favorite in our district. D1 is a toss up but I think it should be Abilene.
