That has been my Christmas wish for a while now...that the D1 champ and D2 champ play against one another. Gordon would win, but it is always something to talk about every year.

I know it’s not the same, but if both state champs scheduled each other the next season in week 1

Agree 100%
Gordon reminds me of the 2004-2007 RS teams with T. Ethridge.
They (like RS) have lots of talent and would win state even without the Reed kid. Just like RS would have won state without Ethridge. Just think about that. Without their best kid/the best 6 man olayer in Texas….they still win.
Gordon takes this easily!!! The only fluke would be if it last 4 quarters.

I was pretty surprised last year at the Gordon vs. Abbott game that it went the full distance. Actually had a $20 bet with my uncle that Gordon would 45 them. However that Abbott team was VERY good (they absolutely win state last year if not for gordon) and Gordon showed mercy at the very end, they could have tacked on one more score and ended it but they kneeled out instead.

Yes. You did strike a nerve. I take offense in that you accused Richland Springs of being cheaters by calling us "Cheetahs". Once again, a pathetic feeble attempt at humor.

Two coaches found guilty by UIL is proof enough for me. I haven’t seen any other schools get popped twice for same reasons. You take take offense by getting teased about that but not by the actions of the coaches says all I need to know.

I don’t think there has ever been a team that could, and there likely never will. My vote is year’s Abbott team if they maybe did something different strategically. I also admit i have no idea what that strategy would need to be.

Whoever it was, they would have to be able to match or even surpass Gordon’s speed while also being just as consistent as them. 2002 Calvert
