I guess this could get into the over rated vs the under rated on Granger's initial rankings. The last one on his list jumped out at me. Garden City graduated their SB, whatever Zephyr lost to graduation the rest of the team has gained experience and will be better for it. Look for this one to be close whoever wins it.

Unless WV fools me on their ability to defend a spread, I look for WV to handle Blum 25+.

Those are just two that caught my eye, what do ya'll think?

I saw Zephyr friday night vs Strawn. They are having some injury problems and did not look as good as I thought they might. I heard through an extended grapevine that WV sat three starters in their scrimmage with Rankin and did not play as well as they had hoped. So the spreads that Granger had involving Zephyr and WV may be much closer than I had originally thought.

I guess the same could be said for Happy. Aquilla's offense is the stronger part of their game. I was not impressed with their defense.

I'm not one to give scrimmages much weight at all but, from what I saw, Happy is quite competent both on the ground and in the air - from both tight and spread. The other team had a hard time moving the ball.

Then again, it was a scrimmage. I was impressed with how crisp Happy was in their execution. You don't see much crispness when it's 102 in the shade.
