Single Game Best Performances

Klondike had a pretty good squad this last season. I'm not sure what they have returning this next season. The night we played there it rained and rained and rained some more with no chance for a surviving program/roster. In my opinion Grady may be a "watch out for" team next season in this area, Klondike may be as well.

Looking at stats from the early 2000's Sierra Blanca had a TJ Bustamante, that in a game against Dell City went 13-289 Rushing 5 td's, 15 of 24 261 passing 6 td's. Thats over 500 yards offense and throw in a kick return for a TD. I know it isn'y going to be the highest by any means, but it's still pretty good.

Here is one for ya...
Andy Rivera Ira Bulldogs 2007
22 carries for 522 yards and 10 touchdowns in a 111 to 66 victory over Knox City ending with 6:57 left in the game. It stated in the article that it was the highest scoring game since 1951(according to Dave Campbell) Article was dated 10/06/2007 in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal.

Ira 90 Ropes 88- 2010

This was one of the most exciting games I have ever been to so I was looking on max preps at the stats because I remember Ropes throwing the ball a LOT that night.... Per max preps the QB for Ropes was 33-45 for 519 yards passing, 9 TDs and 2 INTs. Not sure if this is correct or not but probably pretty close, wow and Ira got the win!

Thanks ryry...do you know who inputted the stats into max prep, was that Ira or Ropes...or did each input their own stats? Was it a coach or someone else?

It has Ryan Weidner for Ropes as 13 catches for 265 yards and 3 TDs...that's pretty good!

Thanks

Sorry oneday I really don't know who put in those stats but I figure they are pretty close as best I remember. Those numbers were pretty darn good.

ryry -

I have 5 times that a player has rushed for over 500 yards in a six-man game, and that one you posted, Rivera in 2007 on 22 carries (23.7 yards per carry)...is the lowest amount of carries out of them all...but I do not have the number of carries for one of them...513 yards Jamie Frazier, Bynum, 1986, v Blum...

Trinidad's Damien Jackson rushed for 495 yards on 18 carries in the 1998 quarter-final game v Gordon...that's 27.5 yards per carry.

1995 Playoffs - DeWayne Miles, Amherst

Bi-District - v Miami: 15 carries 310 yards 5 TDs rushing, 1 kick off return for TD, 1 fumble return for TD

Region - v Jayton: 33 carries 394 yards 8 TDs rushing, 1 kick off return for TD

Quarter-Final - v Sands: 33 carries 295 yards 8 TDs rushing

Semi-Final - v Klondike: 20 carries 267 yards 5 TDs rushing, 2 kick off returns for TDs, 5 PAT kicks made, 1 1-point PAT score (run)

State - v Milford: 27 carries 420 yards 8 TDs rushing, 1 kick off return for TD

Total for Playoffs: 128 carries 1,686 yards 34 TDs rushing, 5 kick offs returned for TDs, 1 fumble returned for TD, 5 PAT kicks made, 1 1-point PAT scored. 40 total TDs scored! 251 points scored! PLAYOFFS ONLY!

oneday I would assume that the Ropes coaches input the stats. I know they are very good at inputing stats to Max Preps, and I was at that game and Ryan played an amazing game, along with their QB Taylor Jackson. Easily one of the best games I have attended. Ended on a missed PAT by Ropes, with just a few seconds left. Amazing performance by all those young men from Ira and Ropes.

oneday - I am currently looking for stats for Bynum football and I am finding them all over the place. 513 yards for Jamie Frazier would be a record here. Do you mind me asking where you got the info? Maybe I could find some more info? Thanks

Zach Bronkhorst, QB, High Island HS in 2017 had back to back games that were pretty solid from a stats standpoint:

10/21 vs Chester:
Passing: 13-20 202 yards 6 TDs 0 INTs
Rushing: 17 carries 316 yards 6 TDs

10/29 vs Leverett's Chapel:
Passing: 22-30 322 yards 6 TDs 1 INT

Here is the article on Trinidad’s quarterfinal game vs. Gordon. Damien was over 500 yards.
