Anyone want to talk about...post...about the best single game performances they have wtinessed or coached? Any one with over 20 tackles in a single game...or 3 INTs...or 500 yards rushing...or 35 carries...or heck anything...please post...tell us about it!!!!

Nathen Rice (Buckholts) had a game versus Tomball Christian this year where he threw for 400 yards and 8 TD's. Only to out-do himself in the playoffs; he threw for 471 yards and 9 TD's against Oakwood. Side note: We lost both games.

Had a young man with 487 yards rushing on 21 carries, was 2 of 3 passing for 119 yards, was in on 26 tackles. Returned a kick-off 82 yards and had a 78 yard punt return called back. All of this against one of the top teams in the State. This same young man had a game in which he had 5 interceptions and actually had a sixth interception ruled an incomplete pass that video shows was a completion.

See that Nathan Rice was 28-46-2 for 464 yards 9 TDs passing against Oakwood (maxprep); 15-25-1 for 320 7 TDs against Tomball (maxprep)...coach I think you were looking at TEAM Passing stats for those games not individual stats

Justin Gartman had 460 yards passing and 6 TDs against Fort Davis in 2011, and he had a game this year, against Sterling City where he had 422 yards passing and 6 TDs. He had 6 games in his career with over 300 yards passing and 9 games in his career with 5+ TDs.

Robert VanKranenburg in 2011 had 6 passing touchdowns, 3 rushing touchdowns, 2 interceptions, one returned for a touchdown and a kickoff return for a touchdown. Led our team in tackles that week with 17 as well. Accounted for +500 yards of offense. Was named Big Country Player of the Week that week and had another story ran on him a week later in the Abilene paper. This year in a district ball game that would put us in the playoffs if we won he accounted for 9 touchdowns (6 passing, 2 rushing and 1 interception returned for a TD) and again led our team in tackles.

I would say one of the single best performances I have seen was from a kid I coached back in 2005. Andrew Sterling from Wichita Christian School. He had 8 touchdowns (1 kickoff return, 1 punt return, 1 fumble return, 1 interception, 3 receiving and 1 rushing) also had 2 forced fumbles 2 recoveries, and over 100 yards recieving and over 80 yards rushing. On one of the forced fumbles he was a reciever on the opposite side of the field on the 2 yard line and our QB threw and interception that was being returned for a touchdown and Andrew caught him on about the other 20 yard line. The kid was a great athlete basketball football and track. Won state in track that year in shot put and 200 meters. (I know most would say that is just TAPPS but it takes talent to do what he was able to do.) As far as Defense I dont remember how many tackles he had but had to be in teens if not high teens.

Levi had a great season. He ended up 2nd Team All State.

I can't remember all of our offensive stats, but in the 2006 state championship Tyler threw for 396 yards and either four or five tds. Would have had more if that pesky Kittley hadn't chased us down inside the five yard line three times. ):

I remember reading the box score to a game between Lohn and Christoval where Shorty Montalvo (I think that was his name) and William Covington both had huge games....something like 7 or 8 TDs a piece on the ground.
