We’ve been a victim of coaching until this year. They’ve been undefeated several times our highest ranking ever was actually my senior year in 09. We got down to 8th with 3 losses to Duncanville Christ way (tapps) state champions Woodson (state runner up) and #6 leverets chapel since then we have had a lot of coaches and AD’s that have scheduled “local” opponents. Before savoy and Campbell started their football programs. it was nearly 2 hours to the nearest 6 man school. It’s more of a rant than a frustration. I want the people responsible to see their hard work pay off as well as the athletes and the alumni to have something to be proud of again.

I was on that Duncanville Christway 2009 State title team... Fannindel had some dogs on that squad in 2009.. til this day that is probably one of my favorite games I have ever been apart of.. 71-65 Double OT! Fannindel has had some good coaches lately... To me Coach Rigdon and and former Fannindel Coach Denver Bowden have kept Fannindel afloat after covid !! Should be a great game between Three way and Fannindel!

No one cares about the private schools, so I won't waste my time there.

Sands is the Darkhorse from the depths of division 2. Those hoopers out there have figured out how to play some football, and they'll hang a hundred on those fools from Miami. Pony UP!

Speaking about Ponies, looks like we are gonna have recruiting battle Friday night with Zephyr and Richland Springs. Which team with the best transfers will win? Which team will catch the death penalty like SMU did in the 80s (hence my pony joke). It's not fiction, follow the last name. Burkhart at RS, recruiting violations. Little Burkhart goes to Zephyr, recruiting violations in the school. Not a coincidence.

Pops vs Jr in Bowie will be an all-time classic. How many times will we see them meet up at mid field belly bump each other then throw down and try to leg wrastle the other. About the only good thing that will come from that game.

On a real note I lost a lot of respect for the Administrators of Garden City... Don't have someone because the moved on from you, calling a coach names in front of kids and the communities isn't what the games about. Handle those differences off the field.

My man. All my buddy’s still talk about that game. First game of the season back and forth all night a strip fumble at the goal line for an 75yard return to win it. Greatest game I ever played in. My brother in law was a jr that year and is an assistant coach at Fannindel now. This is as good as we’ve been in quite some time. Excited to see this game.

I know they have a great team, but imo, I think they make state and get 45'd by Jayton. Jayton and Klondike will be the "real" D2 state championship. Just my two cents, no disrespect to RS.

Sands didn’t hang 100 on them boys from Miami, then boys from Miami can play too, they beat us the first game of the season and they are loaded. They did this with one of their key players injured and out for the season due to injury against Paducah!

Probably the best game I’ve seen. Miami turned it over 3 times compared to Sands 0 but the Warriors were resilient.

I hope they end up putting the game up so everyone can watch it after the season of course. Send it to @Leman Saunders. Sounds like a classic. I was told Sands scored with 10-20 seconds left and their extra point got blocked. What an incredible game and ending.

Miami scored to be up 7 with 20 seconds left. Sands gets the ball and throws a probably 45 yd TD first play with the ball. The kicker missed the extra point wide right and Miami won.
