Richland Springs

I agree with the talent statement, but the coaching statement 😬. Started out passing and moving the ball on RS matching them score for score in first half, then they switched up to sweep left and sweep right and only passing on obvious passing downs and after RS made a few stops, it was over. Defensively they are putting 2 sometimes 3 players who run roughly a 5.5 forty-yard dash in positions where they’re expected to chase spread backs and backs catching dumps that run closer to a 4.5, which is an unrealistic matchups. Also a kid #7 who has proven he is one of the top offensive threats is sitting on the sidelines next to the coach.
Completely agree, the #4 kid looked completely scared every kick return

From where I sat, RS looked plenty stout in every category. They have only 3 seniors and a passel of great young players. They have speed to burn at every position along with unsurpassed strength, including The State Shotput Champion. I believe a Freshman intercepted a couple of passes and made several tackles. And I heard talk that with some really athletic 8th graders moving up they will be contending indefinitely. And seeing that they have the very best coaches in Sixman, it’s A great time to be a Coyote!

Doesn't Strawn have a state caliber sprint relay on thier roster and a coach that knows how to beat RS when he's not supposed to? I will take speed over tossing a shot put any day.
