Oil Boom.....

I'm hearing that an oil company is about to move in to sterling city and bring in about 600+ families???

Are any of the other school out that way looking at increasing enrollments?

I had heard that the bigger cities like San Angelo were planning on getting a lion's share of the new move-ins. That's what happened to Midland/Odessa. Most of the folks who work for my brother at Sand Ridge Energy (Ft. Stockton) come out from Odessa.

That would be good if it happens. There is a lot of unused infrastructure in a lot of the small West Texas towns. I know a lot of stuff is happening around Garden City, but I don't know if any permanent growth has happened.

Evidently a company called Devon Energy has moved into San Angelo and is hiring quite a bit. Someone was telling me that they bought the old Grahms Central Station building and the huge parking lot that goes with it. Perhaps there's a place for you around here, Dogface. Of course, you'd have to convert and become a WV fan... it's like a state law or something.

Or Veribest

When I was in Angelo back in the first week of January there was a LOT of talk about the oil boom wave moving into the area to the NW of the city and several big and mid size companies were buying up property in and around the city and talking about San Angelo being the latest oil patch hub.
