I noticed today that the population of Eden is over 2000. The population of Concho County is 4,087. My question is, Do they count the residents of the Detention Center?
It just seems a little strange to have a town with a population over 2k playing sixman. I realize Paint Rock is also in the county and that may impact the school numbers.
The % of people under 18 is about 12% lower than the state average. Just wondering.......

Like some other towns, there are probably a lot of empty nesters living there, with all the kids moved off to one of the metro areas.

According to the 2000 census, Paducah had a population of 1,498. I don't think their population has dropped too much since then.

Just sayin'.

Just cause you can't go down to the DQ you are still living in Eden while you are locked up.

The population was 2,561 at the 2000 census. Approximately one-half of the population consists of inmates housed at the Eden Detention Center, a for-profit prison operated by Corrections Corporation of America under contract with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
