Number of teams to make the playoffs

In a 5 team district how many teams will make the playoffs? I think it should only be 2 but know how the UIL likes to water down the playoffs and make sure people don't get their feelings hurt also I think it's driven by money somehow.

Somehow????? UIL takes their cut first rattle out of the box. Then every one else gets their part.

What's the number though will 4 team districts send 2 and 5 team districts send 3 or how does it work? Also I agree 1 team would be nice that way it's the best of the best come playoff time.

The top 2 teams from each district will go the the playoffs.

Actually you could say that the playoffs start when district play begins so 4 or 5 teams from each district are in the playoffs.......
There..... everybody made the playoffs, momma's proud, everybody is Happy, Happy, Happy........................

I honestly don't believe two is too many. With one from each district that would make the season shorter, and why do that? Some teams that have won state came out of district second. It's not like two teams is a ridiculous amount.

Two is a perfect amount. It evens out those districts that have two or three really good teams; matched up against districts that have no good teams. It all washes out by Thanksgiving.
