Not much happening on the board here...................

Uncle. I give. You win. I'm stumped. I thought I was probably the nuttiest poster on here but I just can't come up with an appropriate enough smart alek response. I alread 8 man. Maybe (maybe?) I'm just confused, man. Weve got 6 man & 7th man fans. 11 man & 12th man fans. 8 man & 9th man fan just sounds too goofy. La8ter Man. :P

For those of you who do not speak "old", I will translate Bearkat's ramblings. He means to play an absolute antiquated game similar to tortoise racing. Players would be equipped with helmets that fold up, black high top shoes, hip pads that strap on, rib pads which also strap on and each player must be equipped with a healthy dose of salt tablets and be given not one drop of water. There, that is what he talking about. Ha

I knew that'd bring you out of the woodwork!!!!

Andy you brought out the biggest stinkers on this board. This is their kid of thread when football isn't going on. You just don't know what you've started.

The board has picked up a little, I see a couple of people that have 20 post now......I am one...hehehehe.

It is Friday night, I have my girls here for Easter and we are having a blast. It is dark and they are outside playing baseball with their step brother........I am a lucky man.

I am going to go watch the movie Appalosa in the living room and put them in the bath.

There, is that enough personal info or should I tell what I am wearing....LOL

Andy

If you happened to notice Melani is back and she has a lot of posts........she is the head of the class now, can we kepp up?

Andy

Well if relevance, intrest & time are not issues....and it's "just win baby", score all you can (100 - 0?). My next post would be, X. Then Y. And Z. Then A,B,C,....1,2,3. But I'd be wasting Graingers valuable memory then...

Hey Andy you know women have the biggest mouths. We can't seem to shut them. When women get things on their minds they can't shut up till it's off. Now my mind is blank like most of the time. hmmmm what was I going to say???????

But on a more serious note. Since Granger mentioned last December about having to go to the "tennis nerd party" (his words) the night before the 6m State Championship I've jokingly alluded to the sport a couple of times. I think one was about it being right up there with bowling. So I should never admit to going bowling with friends after work a few times years back. Or to taking tennis as a phys ed elective at UTA. I had a girlfriend at Southlake Carroll who as a senior made it to regionals & thought it might impress her (it didn't). She never wanted me to come watch her, said I'd make her nervous.
Anyway, thought he or someone else might be interested to know Rising Star & Gustine busses among others are at the Tarleton courts today, apparently for a tournament. So the sport lives on at some 6m schools. Strawn has a dilapidated court that I'm not aware of anyone using in years.
Anyone else ever tried playing tennis in sock feet? Running late to class, last day on the court, forgot tennis shoes (wearing cowboy boots). Had to play for a good grade. BLISTERS. Made an A on the written rules test. Couldnt hit 1 of 4-5 serves over the net & in bounds. Never came close to mastering the backhand. But I could hit the ball over the fence. They gave me a A anyway. No I didn't make this up. Scouts honor. :P

I beg to differ about Strawn's tennis court. Apparently Strawn has a tennis team this year. Not sure who is on it or how they are doing but they have been spotted practicing lately.

Interesting. Have a relative that lives within sight of the courts. Kids in school there in recent years. Never noticed anyone actually playing or practicing there other than maybe kids goofin around. Never heard the kids talk of anyone playing. Figured there had to be interest at some point for the court to have been built. Did know that I believe Kirsten Crabb & Lacy Day played Golf a couple of years. Had to go to Ranger somewhere to practice I think. Never remember noticing one but does Gordon have a court?

Original subject of this thread was not much happening/highest posters. Former hi poster BE hasn't at all in a while. Wondered if maybe he started a new job? Hope he 7 his are all ok.
