Wow, what a ride. Now I can say what my HOMER self has been wanting to say all season, there are no doubts as to who the best team in DII was this year! You see a team like this and wish you could bottle them for the next year and every year after for that matter. Deep, deep team. When one player was off another stepped up. The coaching staff worked extremely hard to prepare for each game and had the team and the plan to execute victory. 14-0 this year 39-2 over three years.
Thanks to Dan Headly who started my boy and other seniors on this championship journey 4 years ago. We went 1-9 four years ago, semi finals 3 years ago, new coach and state 2 years ago and this year they finished the job!
