New Post Season Opportunity for Independents

Independent 6 man teams, mark your calendar, November 12, 2016,
Brenham, Texas will host the Inaugural Texas Six Man Independent Bowl Series on November 12, 2016 at Kenjura Field in Brenham, Texas.
All Independent six man teams in Texas are invited to submit your team for selection for a post season Bowl Game. Teams will be selected and paired based on final season rankings on sixmanfootball.com.

This sounds perfect, the "independent" moniker seems to get fuzzier everyday. Glad to see some true independent initiatives still at play

Would encourage those that are still independent to view/consider taking a look at TAIAO as a means to provide a path to a post season- The TAIAO organization continues to grow and expand its footprint in 6Man football, and is exceptionally well run/managed- We were a part the last 3 seasons, and has been a great opportunity for our boys (Home School) that would otherwise be left out of the postseason, a chance to compete for a championship.

Our Independent Bowl Series is for one weekend only.
This is not to take anything away from any conference or other organizations that have a playoff series that extends past the second or third week of November and possibly beyond.
Not all organizations are in a position, for many reasons to play beyond a certain point.

Apples and oranges really - the "Independent Bowl Series" is a tournament for independents. The "Assocation of Independent..." seems more like a member-only-independent(head-scratch) playoff bracket.

No shame in promoting tourneys here but these two seem like different things. I'll refer anyone to the thread a couple years back about what "independent" may or may not mean lol

Not every team, organization, school etc. have the same resources in terms of number of players, financial support Etc. We are simply trying to offer the kids who play an opportunity to play one more game before their season or career ends. Football memories are some of the best memories we carry forward into our adult lives.
I've coached for almost 50 years and I still hear from "kids" I coached over 30 years ago and we still talk about those games so many years ago.
This Bowl Series is to provide todays kids the opportunity to make a few more memories.
The vast majority of the kids we coach ever get to play past high school.
What you do for others is what really counts in life, always try to leave things better than you found them.
Life gets complicated when you get past 18.
We will have fun and hopefully everyone will be better for it.
