How can this be!!!!! How can Coach Hester be leaving? Why would New Home let him leave? He has been the best football coach our town has had in easily the past 5-10 years. We went from being a bottom dweller to a District Champion two years in a row. This is just mind blowing. I wish Coach Hester the best and hope that he goes to a school that actually appreciates him. This school and especially the Administration have done nothing to help this man. I have seen the crap he has to put up with, and when you have the success that he has, at a so called Basketball school I would be doing a lot more to keep him. This is just pathetic and this School District should be ashamed.
From Looking at Lonestar he has a 17-7 record, two district title and two bi-district titles. Those are the first since 01. This is a sad day in New Home. We should all be ashamed for letting this happen.
