Every year we have coaches who just flat out lie over scheduling issues. We have been blessed with playing some really great teams. Last year Dallas The Covenant came to our place after we had played at their place the year before. We love playing competitive games even at the risk of getting our tails whipped.

Here's the aggravation - we travel a long ways to play you at your place and then the next year you decide you can't travel to our place to play. So because coach thinks you are a quality coach with a quality program he decides to come to your place again and you agree. Oh but wait there's a team on here that you can beat so you lie and tell coach that you double booked even though the team you cancelled us to play just posted last week that they needed a game.

Come on man!

im not going to say why because i dont know why the coach chose to cx a game after it was on the schedule at two different times, but the fact is they did when we were really having a hard time filling out the schedule. oh by the way it would have been a mutual travel or us to them. we never did play them but the did play for a state title

We've had more changes to our basketball schedule this year than a supermodel changes clothes during a fashion show. I'm thankful I no longer have the responsibility for scheduling, because there would be dead bodies all over the place ...

Last night, we were supposed to have a JH boys game. School (and it's a school I have great respect for) had called a couple times to reschedule the game but we told them we couldn't reschedule the game to the date they requested (we already had two games that week and really don't like to play three games ... school and parent issues). Thought all was agreed to play the game as scheduled on the date with the JH league.

So, it's 5:45 ... game at 6 ... no opponent, two officials showed up. Called them and they had the game on their schedule for the date we said we could not play the game. Found a day to reschedule, but we still were on the hook for about $90 to pay the officials.

Just had to rant ... thanks, Pastor, for letting me use your pulpit.

Can't agree more...take that...and then be an indenpendent....Lasy year I had my entire JH and JV schedule done in middle of January- District Schedules come out and within 2 weeks, I get cancellations of 7 or my 8 JH games, and 8 of my 10 JV games...It is not a surprise that you are going to schedule District games...just please don't fill up my schedule with games that are never going to be played...If you don't know the weeks of District play, don't schedule games until you do...
