Take heart! No one ever said this ride was an easy one to stay on, 8 seconds is harder than it looks. All the cliches aside, think about what you have that is good, give thanks for what you do have instead of concentrating on what you don't have, look up and give thanks to God for your feet on the floor in the morning, breathe in deep the morning air and know that your day is yours and only yours and it will go as you dictate. Thank God that you live in the greatest country on God's green earth, thank God that you live in Texas. Concentrate on the good, on helping someone else who's hurting instead of concentrating on your own misery.
All you have is today, you don't have yesterday, that's just a memory and history. You don't have the future, it has not happened yet, but you can write your own by taking care of your decisions, thoughts, feelings and heart today.
This roller coaster can make you puke, scare the heck out of you and make you question your very being and all that you hold dear in your heart, who you are and how you were made. But, it's just a ride in the end.
You have what it takes to handle anything thrown your way, you might strike out or you might hit it out of the park, but the best thing about it is that you played the game in the first place. It's a heck of a lot better than just riding the pine.
Don't forget to look up every now and again, and never miss a chance to tell the ones you love that you do.
Here's to this winding road with no map---Cheers.
