Lazbuddie ISD is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented, and visionary Athletic Director/Head Football Coach to lead and grow the Lazbuddie Longhorns athletic program for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • The Athletic Director will oversee the Lazbuddie High School and Junior High athletic program, which includes the following sports: Football, cross-country, basketball, track and field, golf, and tennis. The AD will also (1) develop the summer workout and conditioning program and (2) help develop the Elementary PE / Pre-Athletics program to further build fundamental skills before junior high.
  • Basketball and spring sport coaching opportunities (high school and/or junior high) would be included in addition to head football.
  • Currently the teaching fields could be social studies or middle school generalist, but other certifications will also be considered.
  • Required to have a CDL with appropriate endorsements or willing to obtain by Fall 2024.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate
  • Previous experience coaching and/or administering athletic programs in a Texas school district.
  • Six-man football coaching and/or playing experience

Lazbuddie ISD is a UIL Class A school located in Parmer County with 131 students in PK-12th Grade, including 38 high school students. Lazbuddie is an agricultural based community with a strong work ethic. We are located in the southern Panhandle and northern South Plains. Lazbuddie is only 17 minutes from Muleshoe; 25 minutes from Dimmitt, Friona, Bovina, and Farwell; 40 minutes from Clovis; 60 minutes from Canyon, and only 75 minutes from both Lubbock and Amarillo.
