I know of a private school game that went 102-0 about 11 or 12 years ago, a year or two before we started playing football.
Funny thing -- that season, our girls basketball team was in a first or second round playoff game against the school that scored the 102 points in one half of a football game. We won by about 20 (I think the score was 55 to 35) and as soon as the game ended, an irate parent from the opposing school stormed across the court and asked me (I was running the clock) if I permitted my coaches to run up the score in such an un-Christian manner.
I told him I allowed my coaches to coach.
PS -- One thing our teams did back then, both boys and girls, was press full court. I remember having lunch with our boys coach and another coach once and I mentioned how many times people complained that our pressing defense was "un-Christian." The visiting coach (who was one of our district opponents) pointed out there was Biblical affirmation of pressing -- " I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me." Philippians 3:14 NIV. Case Closed.
