Greetings. Can someone explain the rule as to where the tee/ball can/must be placed for a kickoff? Can it be anywhere along the restraining line (30 yard line), or does it have to be between the hashes, or in the center?
ARTICLE 2. a. A ball from a free kick formation must be kicked legally and from some point on Team A’s restraining line (Exception: Rule 6-1-2-c-4) and on or between the hash marks. (The exception has to do with kicks after safeties, so not applicable here.)
