Itz overrated, but he still deserves it.

When a Defensive Tackle is going to be the 1st overall pick and just dominated in college, I think he deserves a lot of credit. The guy is a can't miss prospect, and I'm not sure a DT has ever gone #1.

I think there were several overall #1's in the early 1990s. Russell Maryland, Steve Entman, and Dan "Big Daddy" Wilkinson. I dunno about earlier.

I agree though. Suh and C.J. Spiller will be household names in the NFL for years to come.

I know I'm late piping in, but there's no way Ingram should have won the Heisman, and there are two main reasons: 1) He's not even the best player on his team and probably not even the best RB on his team (Richardson), and 2) he had an infinitely better offensive line than Gerhart and didn't have nearly as many yards or TDs while running against less difficult defenses than Gerhart.

I thought it should have been a close-call between Suh and Gerhart. Both were extremely dynamic in making their units (defense for Suh, offense for Gerhart) perform at a higher level, and they both had to do the most for their units by themselves. Ingram, on the other hand, had better runnings lanes because defenses had to respect Julio Jones.

Ultimately, there's nothing to do but speculate, but at least my hopes of UT winning the Nat'l Championship have increased dramatically because of how the Heisman trophy voting turned out. The past 4 years, the team with the player that won the Heisman has lost the National Championship.

False.

Ingram,Tebow, and McCoy on the other hand, play on more talented teams, hence the better records.

Throw the top four candidates names in a hat then let a random person off the street draw the winner. They all have great reasons for winning the heisman, and only so many ballots get to be cast. What happened to democracy? Let the average joes like us vote to. Then the people will have spoken. I know getting a system for that kind of voting is not really feasible, but the one they have now tends to be partial to a degree. Oh well! i Think Colt would rather have a national championship anyways.

If and Buts were candy and nuts..

Me thinks Horns would have scored more points
than bama if Colt had not got hurt..
Am i a Homer? maybe

Look at the bright side mccoy was 100% on passing, 2 for 2 at 9yrds. Not only do defenses win championships but i think an offense helps, one thats not ran by a true freshman. Who on earth besides Mack Brown would have such a small, unexperienced second string qb? Thats what he gets for trying to make McCoy have great stats! Even leach had a better second string qb than his first(even his 3rd string was too). Of course who would want to take a back seat to McCoy knowing he would never see the field. Good luck UT fans in about 3 or 4 years when the lil bro gets there. In the mean time i think them aggies are gonna make a few runs in the Ranking system.
