Just kinda curious why Gordon would do this? For the competition since they are expected to win state pretty easily, or are they moving up to 2a in a few years?

I'm told they're not moving up. My guess is it's about finding competition or just getting a few of their guys some 11-man experience to better prepare them for the next level.

I’m willing to bet my money that it’s because all of your favorite teams were too scared to play them.

The opposing team looked gassed very early on. Not all, but like most teams would assume that if they were afforded the same opportunity like Itasca had been, they would dog walk any program that wanted to try playing up. That being said, I’m just glad the athletes in 1A are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

I guess we’ll see when they play those two teams in season

Gordon did look good for not ever playing 11 man. The fastest man in 1a (Ry Reed) didn't even suit up.

I am a Strawn faithful, but I’m even more faithful to 1A and the athletes that are able to play at the collegiate level as a whole. I’m anxious to see what this year has in store for Gordon. Can you imagine both D2 and D1 champions being from the same county only 8 miles apart?

Gordon will beat anybody in 1a by 60 if they want to, so it doesn’t really matter what 11 man team they play.
