If i was a coach i would run Smart routes

Coach Satcher it has worked before. I would recommend you try it out if that's what your athletes are looking like. And yes you are correct it forces man coverage but like I said timing is an issue because of a pass rush. It would have to be more devised towards rollouts with one of your WR in motion to block/crack so it will allow your QB to roll out. There is still untapped potential offensively and defensively imo in the game of 6-man. I'd recommend it coach! Never hurts to have another "package" to throw at an unsuspecting defense.

I saw a Karnack game once
(Yes I know it's not the best example but they were trying real hard)
that ran a "Ebody go out"
formation most of the night.
They hadn't quite had it down yet
but it was a very interesting game!
We can argue strategy all night
but it really comes down to personnel
and their strengths.
That's why next year
I'm putting all my efforts...

into recruiting.
jus sayin'.

anyone who can turn things around
in a place like "The Buck"
gets my respect.

Haters jus be jealous.
What do you mean "turn things around in a place like buck?

Hypothetically what if the two defenders were just better athletes overall than yours and can jam your receivers and cover slants/etc. no problem? Also what if a defensive coach figures out your tendencies or should I say the QB's tendencies to throw to certain receivers (aka your limited 6-man roster)? It's more than just "protection won't matter if you throw a quick slant or a deep route." That's extremely easy to prepare for defensively if that's your strategy. Especially week after week.
As i said this works for a small quick team. Like my high school team, we had plenty of Wrs to run this, that's what the option to run is for in case wrs covered. There will also be tricks thrown in there. I explain things terribly. I wish i could show people in person.

I coach in dora,nm. Couple of things here coachsatcher, and then I'll go a little more into depth within my own offense although I can't begin to cover it all. I saw u talked about 5 wide. I've seen this before. All I would do is play a 1-3-2 zone. My rusher would push your spread to his left. Therefore taking one side of the field away, making him throw against his arm, and we don't have a threat of a run. De would just never let him stay in the middle or get to his right side. The 3 would sit in a soft zone. Across the field. No threat of slants here, and if they do catch one and get hit by the MLB they won't want to do it again. I have cover 2 over the top. I know here my weak spot is the deep middle, but by taking half the field away my safety is allowed to shift when needed. Thought process here is I don't care if you complete 5 yard passes. In theory you would have to complete 20 or so to score just once. The more you pass the more plays you run, the more chances you have at making a mistake. 5 wide is not a good offense.

I run many different combinations but I have 4 plays that look identical in 4 formations. Plays are called like trips right motion 78L post. Or written TR M 78L post. What happens here is we run the back guy in the trips in motion, looks like crack but the L stands for line. He runs straight down the line and becomes a dump option on the left. Inside guy of the trips runs a post(7) and outside runs a fly (8). Post stands for my center, he is always the word. My pitch back always works opposite of the other flat ( like I said before I always have a dump both sides.) so here you have deep, deep middle, and dumps both sides plus a deep from your post. On this particular play lets say you play man on the trips. Well I run off the man on the 7,8. So they're gone. MLB has center, he's ran off so he's gone. Leaving me with a man covering my motion assuming he doesn't stop when he thinks crack and two de's. well if the de is smart enough to cover my pitchman dump we have 1on 1. If and when I win this matchup it will be big yards. Say your de is a stud. I can actually run the crack with the same scenario. Run sweep right. Everyone does the same routes but when my pitchman pitches he doesn't block he releases into the flat sweep side. MLB is gone with center, 7-8 are gone. De gets cracked so one on one with the motion man cover with a pitchman either wide open or covered and spreadback left untouched. You can kinda see a very basic idea of how it works. Never do I run without the option to pass out of spread and never do we pass without the option to run. Easy to teach. We read it like a book, and I can explain that on another post. We run trips, twins but more like a slot, balanced and twins with an offset back. Very very difficult to gameplay for.
