The thought on many peoples mind
is that they too will be looking for a place to call home
again.
For whatever reason.
I could stay anyplace that would have me,

all the way to retirement.
Whether they had good athletes or not.

It took John Wooden 16 not so successful years
to build his Basketball dynasty.
And he NEVER used the word WIN to his players.

There is so much more to winning than a good record. I would believe that most good coaches who have won, were more concerned about building people, instead of building wins. I have won about 80 percent of my basketball games, I can remember maybe three or four of them in detail. I can remember the kids I have helped. I can remember the ones that come back to thank me. I can remember the thank you letter from a kid in prison who felt I was the only one that believed in him, and he regretted letting me down.
I try to never forget that I do this job to win those battles, the court and fields take care of themselves.
