The chase for the mythical National High School Title will make a stop in
Lubbock, Texas at Lubbock Christian University's Rip Griffin Center.
Findlay Prep will be going against Lubbock Trinity Christian HS
Feb 10th at 8pm. Both schools are ranked as their top schools in their respective Cities.
Findlay Prep is #1 in Las Vegas, NV and Lubbock Trinity is ranked #1 as well in Lubbock,Tx.
This will be an exciting game to watch.

We will have a total of two games for the showcase starting Feb 10th and all games
will be played at the Rip Griffin Center on Lubbock Christian University's Campus.
Friday Feb 10th 2012
God's Academy vs. El Paso Cathedral 6:00pm
Findlay Prep vs. Lubbock Trinity 8:00pm

***Not 1, But 2 projected McDonalds All Americans will be participating in this game

**** Findlay Prep has been around for 5 years with a record of 140 -8.
They won the ESPN High School Invitational tournament in 2009 and 2010.
This season they have already knocked off the best 5A high school team in Texas
Flower Mound Marcus and ESPN U #1 ranked Simeon out of Illinois.

Lubbock Trinity has had success this season as well as they won the one of the area's
toughest tournaments Caprock Ambucs Tournament. Their only loss
this season was to Top 10 nationally ranked Grace Prep which was a game where they led
going into halftime. Currently Trinity is 28-1 on the year. They are also ranked #4 in TAPPS.

Hope the folks at Lubbock Trinity Christian filled out the paperwork with TAPPS to play an out of state team. At least one school has been sanctioned for forgetting that ...

Thanks, Corey. If you're involved in promoting these events, it's probably worthwhile to take a look at the TAPPS (and UIL) rules concerning out-of-state teams. Basically, TAPPS is trying to prevent its schools from playing fly-by-night "schools" that have little or no concern about academics and instead take teenage boys and run basketball factories for promoters, etc.

I learned that at least one of these schools (here in Texas) is having problems with NCAA in getting their graduates academically accepted by D-1 schools.
