Emory Classic this year?

Will there be an Emory Classic this year? Its the premier showcase in the area and usually there is a announcement made by this time.

Looks like Emery plays Azle Christian week 1 so I assume that’s at the classic

Yes, we will be hosting the 5th annual Emery Jaguar Classic! Here is the schedule:

Thursday, August 30th
High Island JV vs. Emery JV-4 p.m.
High Island vs. Mt. Carmel-7 p.m.

Friday, August 31st
Bulverde Living Rock vs. Alvin Living Stones-7 p.m.

Saturday, September 1st
Spring Providence vs. Orange Community-4 p.m.
Azle Christian vs. Emery 7 p.m.

Thank you for the invitation to attend. Look forward to it each year. Emery puts on a great classic each year.

Not asking to you put out too much on your upcoming team but how do you guys look for the season? I understand last year wasn't the results you wanted after several years of success including a state title.

Last year was tough and a bit of a rebuild after graduating a very talented and deep senior class the year prior. This season we will still be young in a few spots but will have improved depth overall and a good group of freshman coming up as well. Our district has grown from three to six teams so should be very competitive.

Thank you for responding and being as open as you can be. The positive for a young team is the potential that lies ahead for a few a seasons.
SA Castle Hills, SA Lutheran, and Katy Faith West are tough challenges. It definitely a district to keep an eye on I in the state.

We had a cancellation on the JV game so just one varsity game each day for the Emery Classic this year. One time change also on the Friday game.
