District Win Streaks

With Aledo in the headlines about their long district win streak...

What are some of the longest 6man district win streaks?

I believe Fort Hancock had a 61 game district win streak from mid 1986 to early 1993.

Anyone top that?

Pretty sure RS hasnt lost a district game since 2001...not sure how many that makes but thats alot of years

That's right coach. Last regular season loss before this year was to May. First game of the season 2013. Lost to Calvert that year in the regionals, again in 2014 in the quarterfinals. But not since except the first game of this year to Happy, without Tippe. They're invincible. Granger's playing with the rankings. They should be #1.

51eleven, I think that you mis-read the topic. It said District win streaks, not Regular season streaks. On this date, October 26, 2001, #1 ranked Panther Creek defeated Richland Springs for their last District loss of record to date.
Going into the playoffs as second place in District, RS then went on to play the Hoskins team from Whitharral in the State Championship game, only to be defeated by a 7 point margin, 27 - 20.

Jonesboro is at 26... lost the last district game in 2009 to Cranfills Gap in a 2-8 season it appears from the records I have.
Well that streak will end this year... Zephyr will surely beat them.

Why will Z "surely" beat them?
Is the Jones' down this year?

I haven’t seen Jonesboro so it’s really not fair for me to make this statement. However, I have seen Zephyr and they are looking good. I just believe this will be Zephyrs year. This game will be decided by less than ten points.

I have seen Zephyr play. I have not seen Jonesboro play. If Jonesboro is anywhere close to what they normally are, they will beat Zephyr by 30. If weaker than they have been the past few years, it could be close.

Listening to the broadcast it sure seems Jonesboro handled Zephyr rather easily....out of curiosity did Zephyr have all their kids playing?
