One or both of them may have full schedules already.Richland Springs and Cherokee both show to have an open date on week 8. October 18th. Come on guys, get together and make it happen. Tradition!
Some coaches don't want to play really stout teams even once. They will meet up in the playoffs. Maybe second round? Most coaches are not too fond of playing a really stout team twice.
I agree with this . Why do some of these schools that are playoff or state contenders sandbag in regular season? How do you get better from playing teams you will 45 all year long ? I understand you want to stay healthy but I figured you would have to at least put 1 or 2 rank teams in your schedule to test the waters right ? Maybe I’m wrong . Some coaches /schools will say nobody wants to play us etc . Can somebody tell me why top 10 schools do this ?Some coaches don't want to play really stout teams even once.
If you win a state championship it don't matter how you got there. Played 10 jv teams or 10 top 10 teams. Everyone is different but at the end of the day if they win a championship you can't really gripe about who they scheduledI agree with this . There you have it folks somebody talking facts. If your griping about somebody else schedule and they are constantly in the discussion of being a state contender or such. Maybe you should ask yourself what are we doing wrong.? Not that’s it’s wrong to have a “tough” schedule but nobody hands trophies out for that.If you win a state championship it don't matter how you got there. Played 10 jv teams or 10 top 10 teams. Most football fans equate football with competition not avoidance of said competition. Some schools orchestrate a schedule to look good at the end of the season whether they can compete or not. Sixman football is already watered down because of the two divisions, so if a school still wants to avoid competition maybe they should consider flag football and quit scheduling schools which wouldn't make a good scrimmage opponent. If you win a state championship it don't matter how you got there. I have seen a bunch of teams over the years go 6-0 then 0-4 in district .Most football fans equate football with competition not avoidance of said competition. So the coach scheduled his regular season to instill some confidence into his team going into district, with what he thought was comparable comp or even he knew he would win those games. Probably knowing they were going to go 0-4. Your faulting the guy for that.?I have seen a bunch of teams over the years go 6-0 then 0-4 in district .
I have also. Done it both ways in the past. To each is own. Bottom line is where you are at the end of the yr.I have seen a bunch of teams over the years go 6-0 then 0-4 in district .
No it has nothing to do with soft or padded they just need another gameSo what about the coaches/teams that have posted on here they have open dates?
Are they trying to play a padded/soft schedule?
Those Charmin Soft schedules certainly make them look like champions even when they aren't. You prefer the soft which is crap. Lol Strange that the teams in the west and many in the east don't duck competition. Is your head throbbing now?Playoffs is where winners and losers are seperated. Cherokee and Richland both have full schedules and will more than likely meet in the playoffs where it matters. Just because you don’t see the schedule filled on this website which some of you live through doesn’t mean crap. Same people crying about schedules are the same ones crying about rankings. This isn’t the BCS era of college football teams have to win in the playoffs to become champions… cry less
Arnie, I'm surprised that you agree with me. The faithful will be stunned.it’s the same sad story with Tex every year. Usually with him just watching on the sidelines because his team was already out, watching Gordon surpass them or never catching others. He only chimes in when those certain teams tickle those feathers he’s got. Just hoping he can find a different horse to beat on, When in the end it doesn’t matter what he or anyone thinks.
Tex I just realized I didn’t tell you good luck against those powerhouses up north on the “tough” schedule should be a barn burner.
