Coach Ed Thomas

I don't know how to link this or I would. Just read on MSMBC Coach Ed Thomas of Aplington-Parkersburg H.S. in Iowa dying after being shot in their weight room by a 24 yr old former player. He was 58 and had been ther 34 yrs. He was also the 2005 NFL High School Coach of the Year. The shooter has been arrested. Not much more detail, students were in the weight room at the time. Sad, Sad, Sad.

I just heard about this. Has anyone heard why this happened??

My prayers go out to the players, school and the family of Coach Thomas.

"His legacy for many will be associated with his tremendous success as a football coach. However, I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ."

WOW...what a way to be remembered as "a committed follower of Jesus Christ". Praise God in such a horrible incident.
