Hall of Fame Coach Thomas Hyde passes away

Texas Sixman Coaches Association 2003 Hall of Fame inductee Thomas Hyde passed away this afternoon in Sweetwater, TX.

He was the head football and track coach at Highland from 1969-1978, compiling a 90-35-2 record while winning 5 district titles and a Regional Championship in 1971.

He will be missed greatly by everyone in the Highland and the 6-man communities.

Visitation will be Monday 6-8 at McCoy's Funneral Home in Sweetwater. Services are set for 10 Wednesday morning at First Baptist Church Sweetwater.
