Week 4 Player of the Week:

Nate Dart – Campbell – 18-259 yards, 6 TDs rushing, 3-23 yards, 2 TDs receiving
Nate Dart scored the final three touchdowns for Campbell in their epic, come-from-behind win against Fannindel in the highest scoring game in Texas high school football history. In the shortened 4th quarter, where only two minutes and 25 seconds were played, Dart accounted for all of Campbell’s offense, with four carries, 100 yards rushing and those three touchdowns on the ground, sealing their 125-122 victory. He had eight total touchdowns on the night.

Honorable Mentions:
Tyreke Cuba – Fannindel – 514 All-Purpose Yards, 386 Total Offense, 6-226 yards, 5 TDs receiving, 3 KO returned for TDs. 73 points scored
The craziest output in the craziest game this week was turned in by Tyreke Cuba. 226 yards, five touchdowns receiving, five kickoff returns for 185 yards and three touchdowns, 103 yards and four touchdowns rushing, 57 yards and two touchdowns passing, one 1-point PAT, and threw for a 1-point PAT.

Jacob Felan – Aquilla – 14-192 yards, 4 TDs rushing; 50 yard KO Return TD, 15 tackles, 1 fumble recovery
In a big 55-7 win over Avalon, Felan played great offensively and defensively as well as returned a kickoff for a touchdown for the Cougars who are off to a 4-0 start on the season.

Marcos Mendoza – Balmorhea – 2 INTs,1 returned for TD; 89 yards, 1 TD rushing; 93 yards 2 TDs receiving; 4 2-point PATs; 11 tackles
The versatile Mendoza came up big defensively and made major contributions on offense for the Bears in their 69-32 win over Garden City.

Abraham Nevarez – Knox City – 195 yards, 5 TDs passing; 172 yards 3 TDs rushing
Nevarez turned in a great offensive performance in a game that Knox City was losing 42-40 at halftime, only to come out big in the second half, led by Nevarez, to win 92-42 over Throckmorton.

Bear Osteen – Forestburg – 5-138 yards, 3 TD receiving; 1 TD rushing; 1 KO return TD; 14 tackles
Beware of the Bear in the Forestburg lineup. Bear was a beast against Gordon, recording 14 tackles and scoring five touchdowns helping his team notch a 54-50 win over Gordon.
