We went to the area round this year. We have 2 starters and 3 all-district players returning. I am going to be a full time principal and get out of coaching all together, and that is why it is open. Great group of girls that work really hard.

Once upon a time, they had a high jumping jessie from there. She was Class A champion high jumper and the boy Class A champion both worked out at Bangs. Just a little know fact. Ha

Wonder what happened to ol' Willie?
I gotta admit
having kids willing to work hard
these days
is quite a refreshing notion!
jus sayin.

Wonder what happened to ol' Willie?
With apologies to Dogface and ol' Willie, reading that made me think of some lines from a song.

"I wonder if you're still with Willie Jackson
Sometimes I wonder if he's still alive
Ol' Willie he gave up his wife and children
Just to satisfy your fourteen carat mind."

Carry on.

Would have to agree with play2win. That district for the next two years looks pretty tough with all three of those teams being in it. Especially Richland Springs girl's who I hear have a very strong JH class coming up. Not sure how their varsity girls fared this year, but I am sure they had some talent.

What does
the district they're in
have to do with a job at the school?
Wouldn't
what kind of board, supe and princ
do they got
and will the ag tchr be a problem?
be better questions?
But that's jus me.
I watch our kids waste time hand over fist
and then hear
I wish we had time to get into the weight room.
Why is that?
would be another good question.

Dog face everything you said is correct but the district is also important. In my opinion the Brookesmith job is a great job but at some other schools it comes in to play a lot.

Worrying about who is in the district is not what the coach should be focusing on...

Is this a good move for me?
Is it time to move on?
Is this the right place?
Could my family be happy here?
Does the administration have my back?
Do I trust the other coaches?
What are the people on sixmanfootball.com gonna say?

These are things that should be pondered.

Who is in your district and the communities perception in your ability to make the playoffs could
affect everything on your list. It has to be taken into account.

Personally, the last one would not even be on the list. Just saying
I thought since the other ?s
were pretty serious,
I thought the last one
was jus meant to take the edge off.
Actually,
I don't do anything without advice
from Newby.
jus sayin'.
God bless Brookie and may the best man win.

these are the things i like to know when asking about a job...

1) tradition?
2) talent? or is there talent coming
3) work ethic
4) community support and expectations
5) class load
