Granger, just wondering if if the link might ever be put on the home page, and, if the blogs might be made available to guests to the site without having to register and log in.

yes. I am doing a redesign of the main parts of the site. I should probably add the link in there now....

as for seeing links to the blogs, I didn't even realize they were not showing up on 'non-logged in' folks myself until I downloaded a new browser for my newer computer last week and saw that (or rather didn't see them).... looking into that as well....
