Bastrop Fires

Dear Six Man Coaches:

Thanks to everyone for your love and support as our community starts to heal. The last I heard, the fire in Tahitian Village is 50% contained, but new fires are popping up every day. Over 1500 homes have been destroyed and thousands are displaced. We have been overwhelmed with so many people from across the country bringing clothing, food, and other donations that people need to survive. God is using His people in a huge way to meet spiritual and physical needs in ways that only He can do. A special thank you to the six man schools who have donated.

Long after the fires are out and the news coverage stops, Bastrop County will need our love, our support, our help. As you pray about how you can continue to help, please consider joining Cornerstone High School/Tribe Consolidated Athletics. There are needs that cannot be met by the distribution centers set up around town or by the local, state, or federal government. The Lord has laid it on our heart to use our 501C3 non-profit organization to take monetary donations to purchase gift cards to give to families affected by this tragedy. 100% of your donations will go to those who have lost their homes. We believe God will put who He wants in our path. If we know the family well, we will give them the cards as a love offering. If we do not personally know the families, we will invest time into their lives and take them to purchase what they need. Cornerstone High School (Tribe Consolidated) will head up this great cause through our Mission Services program; this will give our students and ministry teams a great opportunity to share the love of Christ.

Please make out your checks or money orders to Cornerstone High School and mail to 125 Lower Red Rock Road, Bastrop, TX 78602; Cornerstone High School and Tribe Consolidated Athletics are subsidiaries of Academy Funding of Bastrop. Anyone who donates will receive a tax-deduction receipt. Please feel free to purchase the gift cards yourself and send them to above address. Receipts can only be given to monetary donations.

Please Facebook, email, text, or call everyone you know who may want to give to this much worthy cause. I can assure you, working the food camps this past week, there is no shortage of people to help.

Thanks for prayerfully considering helping the folks of Bastrop County and sowing into a ministry that will touch hearts for God's glory.
